MiM 2: Manchester United vs Machester City

Match in Mind 2, by Shadiq A-H. Free of Charge.
Manchester United 1-2 Manchester City
English Premier League
10/2/08
1.30pm
Old Trafford, Manchester

Intro: This match was the one i looked forward to the most this weekend, even more than the LIVERPOOL match. Because of the emotional stuff attached to this match. Played on the 50th anniversary of United's Munich air crash, and even more emotion because it was a big Manchester derby. Watching the minute's silence (and taking part in it, u could say) was quite heartwarming. This next sentence may sound lame. CITY of MANCHESTER was UNITED. that's why it was heartwarming, i guess.
Tactics: City's 4-3-3 was quite expected. So was United's 4-4-2. But it was unexpected that Ryan Giggs was used as a striker for United. Also, United's formation was not permanent. They started with a 4-4-2, in e 2nd half it became 3-4-1-2, then it became a (i hope i get this right) 3-3-2-2. I was amused too.
My Man of the Match: Martin Petrov (Manchester City). I admit, I expected United to win this match. I thought they would really hit form, because of e emotional significance of this match. And so, I thought C Ronaldo (yes, that guy in e cbox!) would be my man of the match. But, United didn't own. Petrov did own. This guy's left foot is a real gift from its Creator, man.. He picked out the 2 goals, and had the left foot needed to put the balls into the box so tt his teammates could score.
"What the..?": Two foul throws for United! The chances of even one foul throw in an EPL match is like 1 in 50000000000000000000 or so. Two?! qst one was Anderson, 2nd one was Nani. And classmates, (especially that one person in class.. who thinks i'm obsessed about using people's full names) Anderson and Nani are their full names haha. So, two foul throws.. tt was quite surprising.
Commentator's memorable quotes: With e emotional significance this match had, I don't think they got e right commentators. They should have gotten better ones i think. One of them even reminded me of one of e EL A1 teachers in our school.. that teacher who gave e lectures on EL A1 during bridging. "This is typical of City, isn't it? They find themselves in a position that even they didn't ever expect. Well, let's see if they can keep this lead." - Commentator.
Implications/Expectations: C Ronaldo (that guy in our cbox!) said "manu are gonna lose.. the title race..". And when reminded to visit the blog, C Ronaldo said "tell me once ur MiM done.. so tt i dun go see ur class blog for like a week". So, he thinks this match ended United's title race. But I don't think so. I think they're still in it (well, obviously.. haha..). So, I expect United to still give Arsenal and Chelsea a good fight for e title.
Good night. Which means i'm not watching e Liverpool match haha. damn tired. seee u all in sch tmr.
