Rise and Fall

Sometimes in life you feel the fight is over
And it seems as though the writing's on the wall
Superstar you finally made it,
But once your picture becomes tainted,
It's what they call,
The rise and fall

rise and fall ppl.. today's measure by strength is not by how much weights u can do in the gym, nor how tough u r in enduring the pains of a marathon run, but by how u pick urself up wen u fall..

let me share with u this (somewat) famous devotion..

One day this girl had a dream
She was walking along the beach with the Lord
and across the skies flashed scenes from her life.
in each scene there were two sets of footprints in the sand.
one was hers, and the other was the Lord's.
when the last scence of her life appeared before her,
she looked back at the footprints in the sand,
and to her surprise,
there were MANY times along the path of her life
where there were only ONE set of footprints.
And she noticed that its was at the lowest and saddest times in her life!!

so she asked the Lord,
"Lord, You said that once i decided to follow you, obey you, serve you,
that you would walk with me all the way.
but i noticed that during the most TROUBLED times in my life,
there is only ONE set of footprints!!
i don't understand WHY You left my side when i needed You most, O God..."

The Lord said,
"My precious child, I NEVER left you during your times of trouble.
Where you see only one set of footprints,
I was carrying you"


this is dedicated to some of my most precious friends, hoping that you may find Joy in the Lord in times when you feel down.

in closing i'd like to leave you with this verse
1 John 2:15-17
Do not love the world or anyhting in the world. If anyone loves the world the love of the Father is not in him.
For everything in the world-the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does- comes not from the Father but from the world.
The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever"

To summarise,
1) Be strong- no matter how hard the fall, pick yourself up..
2) If you can't find the strenght to do so, remember that the Lord is always with you..
3) Hang on to His love then, and remember not to fall into the trap of loving this world and those in it, cuz His love is all you need and it lasts for eternity..
